Common questions
How are Segment users matched to Quackback users?
By the email in the identify call's traits. Quackback updates users who already exist in your workspace; an identify call for an email it doesn't know is ignored.
Which Segment traits does Quackback save?
Only traits that match a user attribute you've defined in Quackback. Each attribute can take its value from a trait with a different name, and values are converted to the attribute's type. Other traits are left out, so your user records stay tidy.
Can Quackback send data back to Segment?
Yes. Add your Segment source's write key and turn on sending segment membership back. When a user joins or leaves a Quackback segment, Quackback sends an identify call with a trait named after the segment.
Which plans include the Segment integration?
On Quackback Cloud, you get the Segment integration on the Business and Enterprise plans, with a 14-day free trial and no card needed. The open-source, self-hosted edition includes it at no cost.
