Frequently asked questions

What is Quackback?
A customer feedback platform: your users post ideas, vote on what matters, and follow your public roadmap and changelog as you ship. It replaces the scattered Slack threads, support tickets, and stale Trello boards where product priorities usually go to die.
How is this different from a help desk like Intercom or Zendesk?
Help desks handle what just broke. Quackback decides what to build next — and ships with lightweight support tools of its own: live chat, a shared inbox, and a help center. Teams with a dedicated help desk keep it; on Scale, Quackback pulls feedback straight from those tools, so the same conversation doesn't need to live in two places.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes — 14 days on every plan, no credit card to start.
Why is there no free plan?
The honest answer: Quackback is bootstrapped, and hosting free workspaces would lose money we'd rather spend building the product. We're glad you want to try it — that's what the 14-day trial is for — and there's a genuinely free path too: self-host the full product under AGPL, no feature gates. If Quackback earns a place in your workflow, we hope Starter feels like a fair trade.
Is AI included on every plan?
Yes. Semantic search, duplicate detection, post summaries, and sentiment analysis are on every plan, including Starter. Auto-capturing feedback from tools like Slack, Intercom, and Zendesk is a Scale feature.
Can I run multiple workspaces?
Yes — create as many as you need under a single organisation. Each workspace is billed at its own plan, and everything lands on one invoice each month.
What happens if I downgrade?
Your existing boards, posts, seats, and integrations keep working. You just can't add new ones above the lower tier's limits until you upgrade again.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel in one click. Billing stops at the end of the period you've already paid for, and you keep full access until then. Annual plans don't refund unused months, but you can export every post and comment on the way out.
Can I self-host Quackback for free?
Yes — every feature in Cloud is in the open-source bundle, under AGPL. Bring your own server. No feature gates.
