  1. Create a token

In Azure DevOps, create a personal access token with Work Items (Read & Write).

  2. Connect in Quackback

  3. Pick a project

Choose the project and work item type and map states. For status sync, add Quackback's webhook URL and secret as a service hook.

Common questions

How does Quackback connect to Azure DevOps?

With a personal access token that has the Work Items (Read & Write) scope. There's no OAuth app to set up, on Cloud or self-hosted.

How do Azure DevOps state changes reach Quackback?

Through a service hook. Turn on status sync and Quackback shows a webhook URL and a secret. In your project's service hooks, create a Web Hooks subscription for work item updates, with the URL and the secret as the basic authentication password. State changes then show up in Quackback's sync history for you to review.

Which plans include the Azure DevOps integration?
