Quackback + Shortcut

Link feedback to Shortcut stories

Shortcut organizes work into stories, epics, and iterations, a structure designed for software teams that want clarity without overhead. The Quackback Shortcut integration turns feedback posts into stories assigned to the right project and workflow. Stories include the post title, description, vote count, and a link to the original feedback. When a story moves to "Completed" in Shortcut, the feedback post updates and voters receive a notification. Product teams using Shortcut can run iteration planning with user-demand data embedded directly in their story backlog.

How it works

Connect Shortcut to Quackback in three steps.

1

Generate a Shortcut API token

Create an API token in your Shortcut settings and paste it into the Quackback integrations page.

2

Configure project and workflow

Select the default Shortcut project, workflow state, and epic for stories created from each Quackback board.

3

Stories sync with your board

New stories appear in Shortcut with feedback context. Workflow state changes update the linked feedback post and notify voters.

Why connect Quackback to Shortcut

Stories carry user-demand context

Each story created from feedback includes the vote count, user comments, and a link back to the original post. During iteration planning, the team can see exactly how many users want a feature before committing to build it.

Epics group related feedback

Assign feedback-created stories to Shortcut epics during creation. When multiple feedback posts map to the same epic, you get a clear picture of user demand for that product area across all related stories.

Completed stories close the feedback loop

Marking a story as "Completed" in Shortcut triggers a status update on the feedback post. Voters receive a notification that their request was delivered, without the product manager manually updating two systems.
